Our Story
My daughter was a healthy and happy child, reached all milestones until 1 year of age. Then from 15 months of age she started having fevers very often. She started having staring spells, lost the couple of words she had, lost her eye contact with us, she would wake up at 2 am and stay awake for 3 hours before going back to sleep again almost everyday and had horrible constipation. My daughter was diagnosed with Autism at 2.8 years of age. I was lost and did not know how to help my child. Fortunately I was able to find parents groups, therapists and professionals who have helped us immensely in this journey of healing.
Shortly after her diagnosis we started a diet eliminating her food sensitivities. We also started homeopathy and supplementation to heal her body. We ditched our toxic lifestyle and started a low-tox life style. She started having better eye contact and her constipation resolved. She stopped waking up frequently at nights, toe walking stopped, stopped laughing hysterically for no reason. We started biomedical interventions – supplements targeted to address mitochondrial dysfunction and Cerebral folate deficiency and antifungals to resolve yeast issues. She had an intent to communicate for the first time and in a couple of months she was talking in phrases. We started implementing a home plan for reflex integration and she made gains even faster. She has now graduated out of her therapies and is thriving – bilingual, is in a general education classroom without any support, excels in her age appropriate academic goals and has friends.
I am grateful for the journey we are on because it has showed us what we have been doing wrong all this while. It has helped us all improve our health as a family. In the process of learning about the ways to help my daughter and doing that, I have become passionate about helping other parents and children in similar situation, to become healthy and thriving. You are at the right place if you are looking for a mentor, bouncing board for ideas regarding non-toxic living, therapies, IEP and school, diet or biomedical interventions.
